  • The RBC Career Launch Program is a one-year rotational development program combining diverse work experience with career development. (https://jobs.rbc.com/ca/en/CareerLaunch)
  • First Rotation: Worked multiple roles within the Public & Corporate Banking Operations teams including mortgage skips, MCA digitization, and issuing payout statements. Whether it is liaising between law firms and RBC’s records & distribution team to process the payouts of client’s mortgages, or helping clients skip mortgage payments for COVID-19 relief, working in these multiple roles required agile learning, communication, and team working skills.
  • Second Rotation: Partnered with RBC sponsored charity Right To Play to support the Canadian fundraising team responsible for working with high net worth portfolios consisting of corporate and foundation donors. In my role I was responsible for prospect researching, proposals, sponsorship decks, grant applications, donor stewardship and donor engagement. This multifaceted environment required team working skills and an attention to detail.
  • Third Rotation: Joined the Advisor Digitization & Technology Enablement team in regional banking. Worked alongside entrepreneurial specialists with varied business and technical backgrounds to deliver initiatives in core platform evolution, advisor tools, physical network technology, hardware, social media, and emerging experiences. Supported applications with 9,500+ users and enhanced transaction reporting and design. Implemented changes to documentation/AI chatbot in CRM software for advisor support.
  • Achieved proficiency in developing my professional development by learning how to create and manage a personal brand through targeted coaching. Learned about having an open mindset and applying a willingness to learn to everything from work goals to personal life goals.

Qlicker

  • Qlicker is a web-based app designed with ReactJS, HTML, CSS, MongoDB and Github to make it easier for professors to integrate student participation into their classes.
  • Worked on an existing codebase in consultation with a client using a continuous integration and delivery model to add a self-quiz feature, replace the grades dashboard, and improve the user interface.
  • App won the Student’s Choice Award at Queen’s Creative Computing event published on the Kingston newspaper (https://www.thewhig.com/news/local-news/showcase-highlights-creative-computing).

Movie Ticket System

  • Created an online movie ticket vendor website with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Created a MySQL database from our own ER Schema and making queries to it in PHP.
  • Website has persistent log-in with hashed passwords, has two user-classes users & admins who can manage movie theatres, and movies. Users can create an account, purchase tickets, and make movie reviews.
